About Winter Days
Winter Days was created on January 1st 2007. It was suppose to open sometime in March/April but then I decided to open it early. I chose to do this because Winter Days was a school project of mine for school. I got to do anything I wanted to do for the project, pretty awsome huh? Anyways, the project is obviously over, I still have Winter Days 'cause, I'm proud of what I've created.Now you might want to know what I did before I started Winter Days. I'll start from the very begining. About 3 years ago I was on MSN when I saw my friend's display name with a website address. I was bored so I went to check out her website. I found it really cool and interesting and I found out that her website was hosted by Piczo. So I decided that I wanted to make my own website too because it looked fun and interesting. So I made one, now that I look back at it....it wasn't very good but at the time I thought it was awesome. I created the website I started to add more and more stuff to it. One day I found this website who had this tutorial where they showed you how you made a blog. I was so excited and I made one. I thought it was the most awesomest first blog that I ever made. It was also my first graphic but it wasn't exactly the first thing I coded ..... well I guess you can say it was.....because in the tutorial they said to make an image (I used MS paint) and then to copy the code and paste the url of the image in the code and volia. But anyways that was the first graphic and coded thing I ever did.
So after that about a year later I was surfing the web to find a Neopets guild to join. I soon then happen to fall upon Anime Requiem. That is when I started to be serious about designing graphics and such. I was SO amazed with their graphics! Better yet they had a Neopets guild! So I joined and from then on I started to learn more about coding and graphics making and during that time I found Photoshop 6.0 lying around my house. I installed that but then uninstalled it because I then found Photoshop 7.0 also lying around in my house. (All because of my step-dad ^^) Then my step-dad went to Asia and he phoned us if we wanted any programs for our computer so I asked Photoshop 9.0 and so I got that but I havn't installed that yet because I've forgotten and/or been too lazy....^^ Plus I'm starting to learn more and more about Photoshop 7. Anyways during around the end of spring of 2006 I thought I knew enough stuff about Photoshop and coding that I started to make my own website. I started to make my own layout and stuff but then it became confusing and I got so frustrated that I gave up on the idea. So after that I decided that it was too much work to start a website so I applied to some websites to be on staff but I obviously got rejected. You need to know more than half a year's worth of knowledge of Photoshop and coding to become good. But I sure didn't know that. That was during the summer. Then sometime in August I asked a friend of mine if we could start a website with each other. (This friend of mine is an amazing graphics maker.) She said a YES! and so we started to make one......until we stopped....we were getting busy since it was almost time to go back to school. So we cancelled off the website. Then I went back to applying to be staff.....still got rejected.... I guess my graphics skill weren't very good at the time. Then after all the rejection I started to read a lot of tutorials cause I wanted to become better. So then near the end of August I created a new website on Freewebs. This time it was sucessful. I was really happy because I had awesome affiliates and an actual layout that I thought for my first time, without giving up, was pretty good. If you want to go see it, it's Weeping Wisterias. Yeah it's still around because I'm proud of my newbieness. xD Oh I forgot to mention why I closed it, I cloed it because of the school project.....and I wanted to start a new website. ^^;;
Anyways that's how Winter Days became. Oh and if you're wondering why I chose the name Winter Days, it's because I
