Adobe Photoshop >> Brush/Pattern Installation

NOTE: Extracting brushes to CS2's folder DOESNT WORK! There are steps you have to go through, and as far as I know, if you have the entire suite as I do, the brushes/patterns/etc you extract to Photoshop's folder are only for Photoshop! Correct me if I'm wrong.

1) Download the brush or whatever you want to use in Adobe. If its a zip file, unzip and either extract to a folder or desktop or save it. If you're using this method, IT MUST BE SAVED AS AN ADOBE EXTENSION! (.arb, .pat, etc.) Otherwise, it wouldnt work. Save it to a folder or something. Make sure you know where you've saved it. I suggest the desktop or something.

2) Open Adobe Photoshop, if you haven't already. Then go to Edit > Preset Manager. Screenie below:

3) A screen should pop up like the one below. If it does, click Load. Depending on what you want to load, you may have to change the type. Go to the drop down menu and change it if you need to.

4) Click on your brush and press ok. If you need to load more brushes, repeat step 3. Once you're done, click Done.

5) YAY! You should see your brushes now! If you're using someone else's brush, be sure to give credit.
